Curriculum Content – Long Term Planning

At Harewood we have a 2 year cycle of planning.

We have 2 year groups in each class with the exception of Class 1. Our Long Term Plans are split into Cycle A and Cycle B.

We are currently undergoing a full curriculum review to ensure that we fully cover the National Curriculum in a progressive way developing both skills and knowledge as our children progress through school.

The impact of COVID restrictions has meant that there are potential gaps in learning. During Summer 2021 we took advice from the DfE document ‘ Teaching a Broad and Balanced Curriculum for Education Recovery’ to ensure that priority is given to key areas of the curriculum.
