The School Day

During COVID, the school day had to be different to enable social distancing and keep us all ‘COVID safe’. During this time we took feedback from families about how the start and end to the school day worked during the year and we adapted our routines in light of this.

Many families indicated that they appreciate the flexible start to the day which makes the morning less stressful and parking for drop off is eased.  Others have said that they miss the opportunity to see teachers face to face and actually meet other parents on the playground. We have tried to balance the parental feedback and the need for routines that work for classes and the routines for the new term are laid out below.

Morning Drop Off

The gates will open and school starts at 8.40am and remain open until 8.50am when the classes will be registered.

If you arrive after this time you will need to go through the main office and sign your child in.

The locations for drop off:

Class 1 – At the Class 1 garden door

Class 2 and 4 – Through the black gates

Class 3 – Through the office door

Afternoon Pick up

The gates will open at 3.05pm

All families should enter the school site via the black gates and make their way to the classroom doors.

The children will finish at 3.15pm and be released by the teachers to you from the classrooms.
