Congratulations Harewood

In 2023 the DfE has recognised Harewood CE Primary School as being in the top 1% of Primary Schools in the country for attainment. This has been followed by Harewood being provisionally the top attaining school in Leeds for attainment in 2024.

Year on year we rank highly in the Leeds and national comparisons in Phonics Screening, KS1, and KS2.

We would like to congratulate the children for their hard work, but also say a very big thank you to all the staff in school who have worked tirelessly with the children to enable this to happen.

Well done Harewood. Be proud of who you are and what you can achieve.

Today we have the MindMate Support Team working with our children. We started the day with a whole school assembly and then each class will be working with the team, supported by our pupil MindMate Ambassadors. The theme for today is Managing Emotions.

We celebrated the lead up to Christmas with our whole school Nativity. Class 1 did a fabulous job on stage, Y6 narrated and everyone sang. This made it a special occasion for everyone who joined us.

On Saturday we took a group of singers to represent school at the Harewood Village carol service in the village hall. As well as reading some of the lessons we also sang 'Joy to the World' with 2 verses in Italian.
